NAI To Expand Troy Research And Development Operation

North American Interconnect plans to create 139 new jobs and will be eligible for $186,000 in performance based grants from the state.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced that North American Interconnect, LLC (NAI) will expand its operations in Troy and in Livingston County. According to MEDC, the project should generate a total capital investment of $2.7 million and create 139 jobs. If the jobs come as promised, NAI would receive $186,000 in performance-based grant from the Michigan Business Development Program. Money for the grants comes from the Michigan Strategic Fund.

“NAI’s expansion here rather than in other locations means well-paying jobs for Michigan residents and underscores the strength of the state’s manufacturing and R&D talent,” said Jeff Mason, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

NAI manufactures wire and cable assemblies for industries including telecom, medical and aerospace. NAI plans to expand its engineering and R&D facility in Troy, as well as manufacturing operations in Otsego County, according to MEDC.
