New App: Troy-Based Plex Systems Aims To Improve Manufacturing Performance

The program tracks sales, and helps streamline management, finance, and procurement activities.

TROY, MI — A Troy-based manufacturing automation company recently launched the sale of a computer application aimed at providing an enterprise-wide view of manufacturing performance. Plex Systems said the “IntelliPlex Production Analytic Application” uses data from the Industrial Internet of Things to help other firms make operations more efficient.

The application drills down right to the shop floor, according to Plex Systems Vice president Karl Ederle. “We know that the best manufacturing organizations are built on the shop floor and that operational excellence is the foundation of product quality, company growth, and profitability,” he said in a statement. “Plex now offers customers analysis of their organization that truly spans from shop floor equipment to the financial bottom line.”

The new application will be incorporated into Plex’s IntelliPlex Analytic Application Suite. The program tracks sales, and helps streamline management, finance, and procurement activities. The suite, with the addition of production analytics, delivers comprehensive cloud analytics.

Business journal dbusiness reported that the new application will also provide visibility to the shop floor, connecting suppliers, customers, people, equipment, materials, and finances across multiple facilities.

Plex Systems currently delivers ERP and manufacturing automation to more than 550 companies, dbusiness reported. Plex focuses on on helping companies iunderstand their business’ ecosystems and to reduce IT costs.
