Rep. Howrylak Visits Martell Elementary for Reading Month

Here's what happened when the representative from Troy paid a visit.

State Rep. Martin Howrylak visited local schools over the past few weeks to meet students and read to them in celebration of "March is Reading Month."

Howrylak read to classes at Martell Elementary School in Troy. He also brought along toothbrushes for all the children to demonstrate strong oral hygiene.

"It was a pleasure to be able to visit with students from the district and demonstrate to them the joy of reading," said Howrylak, R-Troy.

Howrylak is a freshman to the House. He defeated Democrat Mary Kerwin in the Nov. 2012 general election.
