Road Commission to Begin Resurfacing Livernois, 14 Mile in July

Construction will begin in the next few weeks and continue throughout most of the summer.

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) announced Wednesday it will soon begin resurfacing two well-traveled roads in Troy.

RCOC crews will begin resurfacing a nearly one-mile section of Livernois just north of Big Beaver Road extending north to Wattles Road. Construction is expected to begin in early July, and the project should be completed on or around Sept. 1. The road will remain open during construction but will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Beginning July 16, RCOC crews will also begin resurfacing 14 Mile Road along the Troy/Madison Heights border, from just west of Campbell to just east of Stephenson Highway. The road will remain open during construction, though it will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Campbell Road will be closed south of 14 Mile for up to 15 days during the project, though the exact dates have not yet been set. The project is expected to be completed on or around Oct. 1.
