If dishes like fried okra and smoky ribs are your favorite, you'll likely remember Rib City in Troy (on John R Road, north of Maple Road) as being closed.

Unfortunately, a restaurant probably won't make it in that location. On one side is a party store, on the other is the beginning of a residential area. It would be interesting to see what could survive in that location. We don't need another drug store, coffee place, or phone store. Maybe the city should just take over that piece of property and make a dog park or a park with swings, slides, etc. There is always the possibility that a dollar store could work in that space! — Barbara Koehn (Via Patch)
