Travelers to See Boost in Cell Service at Detroit Metro Airport
The improvements come after the installation of a new antenna system.

If you're traveling through Detroit Metro Airport in the coming months, you should notice improved mobile Internet service in the McNamara, Smith and North terminals, as well as the Westin Hotel.
The improvements to the cellular network come after AT&T's installation of a new Distributed Antenna System (DAD), which will enhance customer experience throughout the facility. DAS allows for enhanced and consistent coverage in indoor and outdoor space where there once were limitations.
The installation at the airport is part of AT&T's Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks.
