Troy beat Rochester in a dramatic shootout win to advance to finals.
TROY, MI — Once again, the fate of the Troy Athens boys’ soccer team came down to a shootout. Once again, the Troy Athens boys’ soccer team handled it.
Athens prevailed in a tense shootout to nab a 2-1 win over Rochester in the division semifinals on Nov. 2. Just one day earlier, Athens competed in - and won - a controversial shootout redo against Macomb Dakota in the regional finals.
The Hawks' work isn't done. They take on East Kentwood at Comstock Park in the Division 1 Final on Saturday, Nov. 5.
