Troy Factory Has 2nd Fire Since June
No injuries were reported at the American MSC, Inc. fire.

TROY, MI — For the second time in as many months, Troy firefighters extinguished a blaze in a dust filter of an Elliott Avenue parts manufacturer. A fire started at American MSC Inc. Wednesday evening and forced the evacuation of the factory. A fire in a different dust filter was doused by Troy firefighters on June 2, according to a C & G Newspapers report.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation so we can determine the cause and prevent recurrences,” Riesterer said.
Employees were allowed to return inside the facility, Riesterer said. Firefighters were on the scene for an hour and a half. Damage estimates were incomplete.
