The Troy Historic Village plays host to a fabulous Halloween event on Saturday, October 26 from 1-3 pm, Trick or Treat on the Green: Halloween with L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz Sponsored by: Genisys Credit Union.

Join us at the Village for our annual Halloween event, where we celebrate L. Frank Baum’s 14 magical Oz novels. Grab your oil can, courage, and ruby slippers to travel the Village for trick or treating and much more.

Visit “Scarecrow Row,” a row of family friendly scarecrows along the Village fence, trick-or-treat from building to building collecting candy & mini pumpkins provided by the Troy Garden Club, and make a cool craft. Even though there’s no place like home, there’s something at the Village for the whole family to enjoy.

Kids in costume 12 and under admitted to the Village free with paying adult or senior. Adults $5, Seniors $3. Park at Zion Church, 3668 Livernois, south of Wattles Road, and ride the free shuttle bus to the Village. Admission: $5.

“The village is a great backdrop for children to trick or treat in a fun and safe environment while learning about history,” Village Executive Director Loraine Campbell said.
