Police Cite Troy Woman in Sunday Crash that Injured 2 Children
The 34-year-old Troy woman failed to yield at an intersection in Rochester Hills, police say; two children in her vehicle and three passengers in the other vehicle were injured.

Five people, including two young children, were injured Sunday afternoon when a driver failed to yield at a Rochester Hills intersection, police say.
According to a news release from the , all of those who were injured were in stable condition Sunday night.
The crash happened at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gallaland and Driftwood, west of John R Road and north of Avon Road, near in Rochester Hills.

According to the sheriff's office, a 34-year-old Troy woman was driving south on Driftwood when she failed to yield at the intersection of Gallaland; there is a yield sign at the intersection.
The woman struck a car in the intersection, injuring a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old who were passengers in her vehicle. The children were taken to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak by emergency responders from the . According the sheriff's office report, they suffered head trauma.

In the other car, three passengers were injured; two were transported to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, and the third passenger refused medical attention.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash; it is unknown if the children were properly restrained, the news release stated.
The female driver was cited for failing to yield and for speeding.
The Crash Reconstruction Unit from the sheriff's office is investigating the crash.
