Bobcat Taken from Detroit Work Site Found in West Bloomfield
The owner tracks his $30,000 vehicle through a GPS device.

The owner of an equipment rental company in Warren contacted West Bloomfield Township Police Sept. 27, after tracking a Bobcat front-end loader valued at $30,000 to a construction site in the 6000 block of Golden Lane.Â
Lieutenant Tim Diamond said the owner had rented the vehicle for use on a work site in Detroit. When he learned it had been stolen, he was able to tap in to the vehicle's global positioning system (GPS) device and locate it.Â
Diamond said that a worker who showed up at the construction site while police were there said he had no idea how the Bobcat ended up on the property.
