Get Grease'd Up and More This Weekend in Wyandotte

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are three events you should know about in the Wyandotte area.

1.  Get Your "Grease" On

The Downriver Actors Guild is putting on performances of "Grease" all weekend with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday. Catch all the greasy fun at the Out of the Box Theater, 1165 Ford Ave. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Call for reservations or group rates 734-303-5269.

2.  Catch a Free Outdoor Flick

See "Cars 2" at the site of the Wyandotte Farmers Market on the corner of Elm and First streets at dusk Friday. Bring all the snacks you can handle and a chair or a blanket. Flicks on Bricks is fun for the whole family.

3.  Step It Up! 5K, 1 Mile Run or Walk and Health Expo

Wyandotte Clinic for the Working Uninsured hosts its first 5K/1 Mile & Health Expo at 7 a.m. Saturday at Benjamin Yack Arena, 3131 Third St. event will kick off with a 5K run or walk and 1 Mile walk.  At 8:30 a.m. the Expo will be open for screenings and presentations about exercise , nutrition and healthy environments.  There will be Tai Chi demonstrations at 9 a.m. and noon.  Veggie Patti will be on the stage at 11:00 a.m. to talk about taking charge of your health. Raffle prizes will be awarded at 1:00 p.m.The 5K is $25 and includes a t-shirt.  The 1 mile is free, t-shirts are available for $10 until they are sold out.
