Rash of Thefts at Wyandotte Businesses Continue Despite Recent Arrests
In the past two weeks, parts for four air conditioner units have been stolen out of Wyandotte buildings, including some businesses.

Wyandotte police arrested two men after the men attempted to steal parts for an air conditioner unit located on the roof of the former Shots Up Sports Bar and Grill at about 9 a.m. Feb. 27, according to a Wyandotte police report.
Police said they arrested the two men after receiving a report about a man on the roof of the vacant building.
Police located the men driving south on Biddle near the vacant building with about six feet of copper tubing, a condenser and refrigeration liquid indicator, pliers, vice grips and a flashlight.

Despite the recent arrest, a rash of air conditioner parts thefts have continued in Wyandotte.
From about 5 a.m. to about 10 a.m. on March 1:

- Wyandotte police responded to a call about a stolen refrigerant filter drier to an air conditioner condenser located at the rear of the Associated Accounting and Tax Service building.
- An employee of the Sunoco gas station on Ford Avenue reported someone stole the building's air conditioner unit overnight.
- Three air conditioner units located were reported stolen at LCD Clinic.
