Justin Hicks, a Wyandotte native who played golf at the University of Michigan, will compete in his fourth U.S. Open when he tees off Thursday at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

Hicks originally was an alternate for this year’s U.S. Open in San Francisco, but he was added to the field on Sunday, according to the Detroit News.

Hicks will tee off in the first round at 5:46 p.m. (2:46 p.m. Pacific time) Thursday.
