Wyandotte's Hicks Makes Cut at U.S. Open
Justin Hicks, a Wyandotte native and former golfer at the University of Michigan, has made the cut at the U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club.

Hicks, who played college golf at the University of Michigan, shot an even-par 71 Friday to give him a 36-hole total of 3-over-par 145. He is tied for 44th place, 14 strokes behind leader Rory McIlroy.
The 36-year-old Hicks is now a resident of Florida. He is playing in his third U.S. Open.

Before the tournament, Hicks told Edgar Thompson of the Palm Beach Post that he would “bring a different presence of mind to the Open.”
