ROSEMOUNT, MN — Two of the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in Minnesota are located in Rosemount, according to a new report.

The Star Tribune Wednesday published a story that documents the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in the state.

  • KOCH INDUSTRIES' FLINT HILLS RESOURCES PINE BEND REFINERY: 3.9 million metric tons of CO2 emissions (Refinery)
  • SKB INDUSTRIAL WASTE LANDFILL: 598,526 metric tons of CO2 emissions (Landfill)

In 2019 alone, Minnesota's 100 worst polluters added 40 million metric tons of greenhouse gases into Earth's atmosphere, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
