3 Edina Schools On MN’s Coronavirus Outbreak List
Creek Valley Elementary was joined on the outbreak list Thursday by Highlands Elementary and South View Middle School.

EDINA, MN — The number of Hennepin County schools with recent coronavirus outbreaks jumped more than 50 percent in the past week, with two Edina schools added Thursday to the state’s outbreak list.
Fifty-eight schools in the county were included this week on the Minnesota Department of Health's list, which updates every Thursday. Thirty-eight Hennepin County schools were on the state's list last week, including one Edina school.

As of Thursday, there are three Edina schools on the state’s outbreak list: Creek Valley Elementary, Highlands Elementary and South View Middle School.
A school is deemed to have an outbreak when it reports five or more confirmed cases of the virus in students or staff who were in the building while infectious during the most recent two-week reporting period.

Edina Public Schools Get $457K Grant For Coronavirus Testing
Schools on the list may not have ongoing transmission, and schools are removed from the list if they have not reported a new case for 28 days, according to MDH officials.
