Vacant church in Edina could become Spanish immersion school (hometownsource.com) — A long-vacant church property near 50th and France is poised to become a Mis Amigos Spanish immersion preschool, with the Edina Planning Commission unanimously backing a needed conditional use permit. The plan preserves the sanctuary for future Sunday services, raises parking and safety questions, and now heads to the Edina City Council, which will also weigh a possible new crosswalk on busy 50th Street. 
2. Performers needed for Edina parks entertainment series (hometownsource.com) — Edina is recruiting family-friendly performers now for its 2026–27 entertainment series at Edinborough Park and Centennial Lakes Park, with stipends typically between $150 and $250. Acts of all kinds are welcome, but performers must apply by Jan. 31 through the city website, supplying their own equipment and indicating interest in indoor or outdoor shows.
