• Applications for Edina boards, commissions opens Dec. 12 (hometownsource.com) — Edina residents can now apply to serve on city advisory boards, commissions, or a new July 4 Parade Planning Task Force, with applications open Dec. 12 through Jan. 19. Adults 18 and older who live in Edina are encouraged to apply, with several commissions seeking members and new terms beginning March 1. Expect a four-to-six-hour monthly volunteer commitment.
   

• Label Error Triggers Recall of Cookies Sold in Minnesota (ntd.com) — A labeling error at Lunds & Byerlys of Edina prompted a recall of L&B Monster Cookies sold Nov. 15–Dec. 9 across Twin Cities and St. Cloud stores, due to undeclared peanuts, eggs, and soy. If you bought these cookies, the FDA urges you to return them to any Lunds & Byerlys for a full refund to avoid serious allergy risks.
