Authorities ID Toddler Killed In Maple Grove Crash

A 31-year-old woman suffered injuries that were not life-threatening in the crash, police said.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Officials on Tuesday identified a two-year-old who was killed last week in a car crash in Maple Grove.

Razak Rahim Kallon, of Brooklyn Park, died just after 6 p.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Hospital, about 45 minutes after he was injured in a crash on County Road 81, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office announced.

Maple Grove police said officers were called around 5:23 p.m. Thursday to a two-car crash in the 16000 block of County Road 81.

Razak was taken to the hospital where he died shortly after, while a 31-year-old woman was also treated at a local hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The other driver was not injured in the crash and cooperated with police, the department said in a news release.
