Boy Shot Inside Crystal Apartment, Police Seek Info

No arrests have been made after a boy was shot Thursday night inside an apartment complex in Crystal, police said.

CRYSTAL, MN — No arrests have been made after a boy was shot Thursday night inside an apartment complex in Crystal, police said.

Just before 10:45 p.m. on June 5, Hennepin County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 5200 block of West Broadway.

Crystal officers arrived and found a juvenile male in the parking lot who had been shot inside an apartment. Officers provided first aid before the victim was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be random and there is no known threat to the public.

The Crystal Police Department is leading the investigation with help from the Golden Valley, New Hope, and Robbinsdale police departments, as well as the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
