Maple Grove Yellow Ribbon Kick-off Event

Please join us at 7 p.m., Aug. 14, 2012 at the Town Green in Maple Grove, MN for a city-wide event that celebrates the launch of the Maple Grove Yellow Ribbon Network. The event will offer an ice cream social for the public. All are welcome.

Maple Grove is in the process of becoming a Yellow Ribbon City, recognized by the State of Minnesota for providing resources and services to veterans, active service members and their families.

What the Yellow Ribbon Network will achieve:

• Reminding the community that support for our service members doesn’t stop once they come home.
• Connecting organizations and individuals that can provide knowledge, resources and support to the service members and their families.
• Discounts at available retailers and service providers.

The MGYRN is looking for volunteers to help coordinate the resources available and help proactively acquire donations in the form of services, discounts and funds.
