Celebrate the monarch butterflies’ annual 2,000-mile journey to Mexico. Catch and tag monarchs, see live monarchs in their different life-cycle stages, hear about past years’ tagging research, and receive a colorful chart of common local butterflies to take home.
Visit with a costumed monarch character to hear about their migration journey and learn how you can make butterfly-friendly habitat in your yard. Put on your own monarch puppet show, make a crafty monarch, and get your face painted with monarch butterfly or caterpillar designs.
Cost is $5 and this program is open to all ages.
