Hoax Bomb Threats At Slain UnitedHealthcare CEO's MN Homes: Reports
The false reports came in the same day Brian Thompson was killed in New York City, according to Maple Grove police.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Maple Grove police responded Wednesday to hoax bomb threats at homes connected to UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson just hours after he was shot dead in a targeted killing in New York City, according to reports.
Law enforcement received a bomb threat report around 7 p.m. at homes in the 17800 block of 63rd Avenue and the 17300 block of 62nd Avenue, police said.
“No devices or suspicious items were located during the investigation,” the Maple Grove Police Department said in a news release, adding the agency received assistance from the Minneapolis Bomb Squad and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. “The case is considered an active investigation, while the incident appears to be a hoax.”

One of the homes is owned by Thompson and his wife owns the other, the Star Tribune reported.
Thompson was stalked by a masked gunman who used ammunition emblazoned with the words "deny," "defend" and “depose,” echoing a phrase used by insurance industry critics, two law enforcement officials said Thursday. The head of one of the largest U.S. health insurers, Thompson died in a dawn ambush as he walked from his Midtown hotel to the company's annual investor conference at a Hilton across the street.
