Update: Maple Grove Continues to Clean Up After Sunday Snow Storm

Snow and accident totals, Maple Grove plowing and more.

A winter storm swept through the Twin Cities Saturday and Sunday, dropping more than 10 inches of snow in Maple Grove.

As of 7:30 p.m. Sunday, a trained spotter in southwest Maple Grove reported 10.6 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service that forecast up to another three inches overnight Sunday. Unofficial results reported by Maple Grove Patch users states 12 inches of snow near the Bass Lake Road/Interstate 94 area and 10 inches of snow in northern Maple Grove, as of about 6:45 p.m.

As it stands now, the Twin Cities won the snow lottery on Sunday with nearly every town in the metro area getting between 10 and 15 inches of snow. Maple Grove resident and Fox 9 morning meteorologist Keith Marler tweeted Monday morning:  "10.5" that fell "officially" in the Twin Cities is just slightly less than 1/2 of last winter's snow, which was 22.3"!
