Pedestrian Killed In Blaine Early Tuesday Morning
Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on a road in Blaine early Tuesday morning.

ANOKA COUNTY, MN — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on a road in Blaine early Tuesday morning.
At about 4:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a person lying on the road near 109th Avenue Northeast and Central Avenue Northeast.
At the scene, emergency responders attempted life-saving measures on the injured man lying in the road. A helicopter arrived the take the man to a hospital, but he was later declared dead at the scene.

According to authorities, "a short time later," the motor vehicle suspected of hitting the man was found along with the male driver.
The driver is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The crash is being investigated by the Blaine Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
