Report Of Attempted Sexual Assault In Anoka Was False: Sheriff

Police searched the area but found no suspect. After further investigation, they determined the report was untrue.

ANOKA, MN — Anoka police say a reported attempted sexual assault Saturday night was determined to be false.

Officers from the Anoka Police Department, Coon Rapids Police Department, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2700 block of 4th Avenue around 7:50 p.m. on March 8 after receiving a report of an attempted attack.

The alleged victim was taken to a hospital and later released.
