Teen Shot in Maple Grove Neighborhood, Expected To Recover

A teenager is expected to recover after being shot Sunday afternoon in a Maple Grove neighborhood.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — A teenager is expected to recover after being shot Sunday afternoon in a Maple Grove neighborhood. No arrests have been made.

Police said the shooting happened just after 4 p.m. at a home in the 12300 block of 94th Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.

Several other teens were at or near the home and were interviewed by officers. Police said there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

The shooting is still under investigation, and no other details have been released.
