Walmart Location To Close In Brooklyn Center
Walmart is the latest supermarket to close in the northwest metro.

BROOKLYN CENTER, MN — Walmart is set to close its superstore at Brooklyn Center's Shingle Creek Crossing shopping center.
The retail giant will shutter the location on April 21. Poor financial performance was a primary factor behind the decision, the corporation said.
"We are grateful to the customers who have given us the privilege of serving them at our Brooklyn Center location," Robert Arrieta, a spokesperson for the company, told Patch in an email. "We look forward to serving them at our other stores in the surrounding communities and on walmart.com."
