Woman Killed In Blaine Walking Across Street

BLAINE, MN — A woman is dead after an SUV hit her while she was walking across a street in Blaine, police said.

On Thursday at about 6:30 p.m., first responders were called to the crash scene near the 8500 block of University Avenue in Blaine.

A man was driving an SUV southbound on University Avenue when it struck a woman on foot crossing westbound on 85th Street.

Emergency responders provided life-saving treatment, but the woman was declared dead at the scene.

The Blaine Police Department and other agencies continue to investigate the crash.
