1. The Minneapolis City Council officially approved a contract agreement with the city’s police force. The Thursday morning approval means police will receive $7,000 as an incentive to become and stay an officer. (Patch)

2. A West St. Paul man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Minneapolis White Castle. Authorities said Lionel J. Hicks has been wanted for the crime since August 2021. (Paid source: Star-Tribune)

3. Minneapolis public school students have missed 13 days of class as the teachers strike continues. The district gave its “best and final” offer on March 8, which included raising starting wages and adding teacher bonuses. (Patch)

4. A Minneapolis landlord must pay the state $1 million after being investigated for violating tenants’ rights, Bring Me The News reports. Stephen Meldahl violated the rights of 267 families, according to Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office. (BMTN)
