MINNEAPOLIS — Inflation, which hit a 40-year high in the United States last year, continues to be a thorn in the side of Minnesota families buying everything from groceries to car batteries.

But if there's good news to be had, it's that inflation is less of a problem in the Twin Cities metro area than it is in other U.S. metros. That's according to a new report from financial analysis website WalletHub.

In order to determine the cities where inflation is rising the most, WalletHub compared 23 major metro areas across the Consumer Price Index, the statistic that measures inflation.
