Election night was somewhat “bittersweet” for Kieffer—despite her own victory Minnesota Republicans lost control of the House and Senate.
She said she would reach out to Senator-elect Susan Kent (District 53) and Representative-elect JoAnn Ward later today, and soon speak with fellow Republicans, as well.

“I’m looking forward to moving forward,” Kieffer said.
The incumbent said she ran a “consistent, positive” campaign and would remain focused on issues that are important to Woodbury residents.
“To me, it’s an honor to serve, and (the results) are a good rating of my job approval. And I’ll be reaching out to folks and letting them know how to get in touch with me and making sure they have a voice at the Capitol.”
The district encompasses the bulk of Woodbury.
This will be Kieffer’s second term in the state House.
