Woodbury’s New Life Planning to Build Family Ministry Center
The project is set to begin this spring.
New Life Church and its school are planning to begin construction this spring on a multi-purpose, two-story, 22,000-square-foot family ministry center.
The building will be a shared facility for the church and academy, offering classrooms and meeting space, said Dave Seehusen, executive pastor. The $5 million project also includes updates for the existing New Life buildings.
Already, $3.7 million has been raised, Seehusen said, and the work will move forward as more funding is secured. The family ministry center will be built adjacent to the existing worship space at the central "flagpole" location.

The plans have been in the works for some time, said Amy Henderson, New Life spokeswoman. Most of the construction is slated for this summer, she said. A house on the campus that had been used for youth ministry was removed last year.
The new gathering space will be something “that we don’t really have right now,” Henderson said.
