• Meridian High wrestling makes its debut (meridianstar.com) — Meridian High School has launched its first-ever wrestling program, with both boys’ and girls’ teams already competing successfully in regional duels as they work toward state rankings. Longtime coach Demetrius Hill and athletic director Cheyenne Trussell are focused on building fundamentals, growing participation, and eventually hosting multi-mat home matches in Meridian’s own gym.
