The stalled contract talks echo other recent insurer-hospital disputes and are especially worrying for patients with chronic conditions who rely on long-term specialist relationships.

St. Louis alderwoman proposes safety improvements to Gravois Ave (firstalert4.com) — St. Louis residents who use Gravois Avenue could see quicker safety fixes as Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier pushes a resolution for low-cost traffic-calming measures and a lower 25 mph speed limit citywide on the corridor. 4. Sen. Brian Williams Recognized at Inaugural Fleming Holiday Joy & Jazz Brunch (themissouritimes.com) — Community-minded readers will want to know that a new annual Holiday Joy & Jazz Brunch is honoring educators and civic leaders who strengthen the St. Louis region, including State Sen. Brian Williams. The Fleming Legacy Foundation is using the event to spotlight local teaching excellence, support nontraditional education students, and carry forward architect Charles E. Fleming’s legacy of equity and opportunity in St. Louis–area schools and neighborhoods.
