Here are the top three stories in Bozeman today:

  1. Elisha Mann, a musician who played guitar and sang on the streets of downtown Bozeman, has passed away at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. He was known for bringing joy and energy to the town through his music, and many people have expressed their sadness and condolences on social media. (KBZK News)
  2. The Bozeman-based company Bridger Aerospace has become the world's largest privately owned collection of Super Scooper firefighting airplanes with the acquisition of its sixth such aircraft, "Matthew," which will enter service in the summer. The addition of the new aircraft will allow Bridger Aerospace to expand its geographic coverage and increase its fleet's efficiency. The company's CEO, Tim Sheehy, acknowledged that building the fleet is an expensive proposition, with each aircraft costing around $30 million. (NBC Montana)
  3. The Monforton School District Board of Trustees has approved a bond proposal of $14.8 million to address the rapidly growing student population by adding educational facilities and safety upgrades, outdoor play and learning opportunities, and improved parking and vehicular circulation. The bond will be placed on the May mail ballot for nearby Monforton School District taxpayers. If the bond is not approved, the district will have to add modular classrooms or consider renting facilities off-site and busing students. (Fairfield Sun Times)
