Here are the top three stories in Bozeman today:

  1. Robert Kolesar is suing the City of Bozeman for what he claims are discriminatory snow removal ordinances against disabled individuals. Kolesar argues that compliance with the ordinances is difficult for anyone, let alone individuals with disabilities and that the city must make reasonable accommodations for those who cannot comply due to their disability. (KBZK News)
  2. Developers have proposed a subdivision on an 8.73-acre plot of land in Bozeman's far west corner, as part of the larger "Urban + Farm" development, which will split into 31 residential lots, four open space lots, and one park lot. The land is zoned R-5, residential mixed-use high density, with 10 of the lots intended to be developed for multi-family housing, while others will be for single-family homes. City planners have approved the preliminary plat for the development, with one city commissioner expressing concern over the proposed layout of some of the residential lots facing open space lots. (Bozeman Daily Chronicle)
  3. Montana State University (MSU) has been named a top 10 Military Friendly School for 2023-2024 by MilitaryFriendly.com, marking the third consecutive year the university has received the national designation. MSU ranks eighth in the nation among peer institutions for its efforts to support student veterans. The Bozeman-based university previously earned a gold ranking in 2020 and a silver ranking in 2016.
