  1. A man died and another was injured after an argument on Friday night around 7:30 p.m. The men were in a parking lot in the 4500 block of Bonanza Road at an apartment complex when, police believe, a suspect shot both men. Both men were taken to the University Medical Center, where one was pronounced dead. (Las Vegas Sun)
  2. On Saturday morning, a man was found dead downtown in a vehicle around 5:35 a.m. Las Vegas police responded to the call of an unresponsive man in the 200 block of South 9th Street, where they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
  3. The next phase of closures for "Dropicana" – aka I-15 Tropicana Project – began over the weekend. Tropicana Avenue from Dean Martin Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed until Jan. 30. Those who are trying to get to the Strip will have difficulty since a way around the construction will need to be found. The Nevada Department of Transportation said drivers should add an extra 15 minutes to their commutes in the area. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
