  1. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported a 40 percent increase in car theft and break-ins this year with 1,485 cases, leading many car owners to rely on auto shops, such as Busy Buggy Auto Repair, for repair. One victim shared how both his cars were stolen and severely damaged. The mechanic shop owner, Marco Rodriguez, advises car owners to install preventive measures like alarms or kill switches.   2. The family of a Florida lawyer who had a heart attack at a Las Vegas casino and died months later has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Wynn Las Vegas Casino. According to the complaint, the lawyer went into cardiac arrest and was slumped over the blackjack table for over 15 minutes while the dealer continued to deal cards to another player. The lawsuit alleges that Wynn employees did not provide proper emergency medical treatment and failed to check on him immediately. (News3LV)
  3. Congresswoman Dina Titus has awarded over $4 million in Early Head Start funding to Las Vegas's Sunrise Children's Foundation, which will provide 270 infants and toddlers with childcare services, including education, nutrition, and family support services, in at-risk communities in Southern Nevada. Rep. Titus emphasized that all children in Nevada deserve a bright future regardless of their income or zip code. (News3LV)
