CCSD Math Teacher Arrested On Alleged Sex Charges With Student
A 36-year old Clark County School District employee is facing five charges for alleged sexual conduct with a 17-year old student.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A teacher as West Career and Technical Academy has been arrested by Clark County School District Police for alleged inappropriate sexual conduct with a student during the 2015-16 school year. CCSDPD arrested 36-year old math teacher Renee Rine at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 at her residence and is currentlybeing held at Clark County Detention Center facing five charges.
The charges include lewdness with a child under 14 or 15, first degree attempted kidnapping, first degree child abuse, one count of a school employee engaging in sex with a pupil, and unlawful contact with a minor. The kidnapping charge stems from an alleged attempt to lure the male student to a local hotel room.
Rine, who has been employed by the school district since 2015, allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a 17-year old male student at the school. Administrators were made aware of explicit photos and text messages on the male student's cell phone, according to CCSDPD Capt. Ken Young.

West Career and Technical Academy responded to the arrest with the following statement:
The safety of our students is the number one priority at West Career and Technical Academy. As always, we want to keep you informed of important issues happening within our school community.
We want to let you know that a teacher who has been assigned to our school was recently arrested by the Clark County School District Police Department regarding inappropriate behavior involving students. I wanted to let you know that the teacher has been removed from the campus and the school is continuing to work with law enforcement on their investigation.
As a reminder, take time to talk to your students and remain in constant communication with them regarding their interactions with others. Please report any unusual behavior or activities to authorities or school officials for investigation.

Rine is currently on leave pending the outcome of the charges. Her arrest marks the fifth time a CCSD employee has been arrested for inappropriate sexual conduct with a student in the 2017-18 school year.
