CES: Power Outage Reported At Las Vegas Convention Center
A power outage was reported on Wednesday during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A bit of irony emerged from the second day of the the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The annual technology convention that showcases new products in consumer electronics was without any power on Wednesday morning.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said that a transformer failed. The outage caused a surge in the system. The outage was confined to the central hall and south hall bridge meeting rooms.
"A preliminary assessment indicates that condensation from heavy rainfall caused a flashover on one of the facility's transformers," LVCVA said of the outage's origin.
