Agenda Item 11 – 2022 City of Las Vegas Municipal Election: City Council will vote on the Proclamation and Order declaring the 2022 Municipal Election. Since our Municipal Elections are under the control of the City Council, it is appropriate at this time for the City Council to formally order the 2022 Municipal Election. The order sets forth the offices to be voted upon by the registered voters of the city and establishes the Primary and General Election dates. We will provide an election website to assist voters, candidates and people seeking general information about our election.

Agenda Item 12 – Marble Manor Public Housing Site: City Council will vote on a grant in the amount of $450,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the transformation of Marble Manor Public Housing Site in the Historic Westside, 1320 Morgan St. The Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant addresses struggling neighborhoods with distressed public housing through a comprehensive approach to neighborhood transformation. This grant provides the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority with an opportunity to create specific plans for the Marble Manor site that build upon implementation of the Historic Westside’s HUNDRED Plan. A portion of the funds from this grant will enable the city and the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority to directly engage residents of Marble Manor and the surrounding neighborhood in the planning process and connect them to community resources.
