Clark County Enhances Pedestrian Safety Along Las Vegas Strip
Two years after intentional crash that left one person dead, 800 safety posts have been installed along the Las Vegas Strip.

LAS VEGAS, NV - As a proactive measure, the city of Las Vegas has begun installing safety posts along the Las Vegas Strip.
According to Michael Scott Davidson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Clark County has already installed 800 steel posts along the Strip for added pedestrian safety. The safety posts can withstand a collision from a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling at 50 MPH, the report says.
In December 2015, Lakeisha Holloway was charged with murder after she ran her vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip.
