Golden Knights Cap Off Weekend With Overtime Win
The Vegas Golden Knights snapped a three game losing streak with an overtime win at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Vegas Golden Knights enjoy playing extra hockey, and for good reason. They hardly lose after regulation. Reilly Smith found the net on an assist from Jonathan Marchessault in overtime Sunday to give the Golden Knights a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes at T-Mobile Arena.
The Golden Knights are now 5-1 in overtime games this season. The win on Sunday snapped a 3-game slide and gave the Golden Knights their 10th win in 12 home games this season.
Marchessault also scored his 10th goal of the season on Sunday. In overtime he stole a pass and found Smith for the game winner.

"Not only to win, but our effort for 60 minutes. That's how we play, we play good defensively, we play good in the neutral zone. I think overall it was a perfect game for us," Marchessault said.

"He's a guy that takes advantage of some opportunities. He found that second gear. He was out there late in the shift and once he found the open ice, he made a great play," head coach Gerard Gallant said of Marchessault.

Malcolm Subban came up big in net Sunday evening. Subban, who was activated from the injured reserve in mid-November, stopped 31 of 33 shots and is 3-2 since coming back from injury.
The Golden Knights peppered the net in overtime, putting six shots on net compared to just one for the Coyotes. The win improves Vegas to 16-9-1 in the franchise's inaugural season.
