LAS VEGAS, NV - There's plenty of ways to help out around the holidays in Las Vegas. If you're looking for a food or toy drive to help out with or apply to for assistance, here's a few organizations helping out around the Las Vegas Valley.
Salvation Army of Southern Nevada
'Tis the season for bells-a-ringin'. The Salvation Army's Red Kettles are just part of the organization's holiday season assistance. Volunteers can also sponsor toy drives or adopt a family for the holidays. The Salvation Army's Southern Nevada office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m at 2900 Palomino Ln. in Las Vegas. The phone number for the main office is 702-870-4430.
To register for assistance in the Las Vegas Christmas Angel program contact Salvation Army Family Services at 1581 N Main St. The program will end after 1,000 families have registered. The office can also be reached at 702-649-8240.

To register for assistance in the Henderson Christmas Angel program contact Salvation Family Services at 830 E Lake Mead Pkwy. The office can also be reached at 702-565-9578.
Las Vegas Rescue Mission
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is collecting donations for homeless children this holiday season. A $2.05 donation feeds one person, according to the charity's website. For more information call Las Vegas Rescue Mission at 702-382-1766 or visit their website here: https://vegasrescue.org/.
Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada
Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada currently has a wish list on its website of items that need donating for the holiday season. They are accepting money as well as toys, food, and gift cards. For the full list of items or to make a donation, click here: https://www.catholiccharities.....
The charity's main campus is open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. seven days a week at 1501 N Las Vegas Blvd.
Lutheran Social Services of Nevada
You can adopt a family through LSSN's Christmas program. According to their website, it typically costs between $50 and $100 to sponsor a family and between $20 and $50 to sponsor an individual child. For more information call 702-639-1730 or visit their office at 73 Spectrum Blvd.
You can also donate food at the food drive, also located at 73 Spectrum Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Toys for Tots
If you'd like to donate toys for children this holiday season, the Las Vegas and Henderson Toys for Tots is currently accepting donations. City Mission of Las Vegas
