House Ethics Subcommittee Investigating Ruben Kihuen Announced
The House Ethics Committee announced the four member subcommittee to investigate sexual misconduct allegations against Rep. Ruben Kihuen.

WASHINGTON, DC - The House Ethics Committee has announced the members of a subcommittee that will investigate allegations that Rep. Ruben Kihuen of Nevada's 4th Congressional District sexually harassed multiple women, including a former campaign staffer.
Rep. Kenny Marchant of (R-TX) will serve as the chairman of the subcommittee and Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) will be the ranking member. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) and Rep. Brian Higgins (D-NY) will also serve on the committee.
Among the alleged sexual misconduct, Kihuen has been accused in articles published by Buzzfeed and The Nevada Independent of sending repeated lewd text messages to women, asking his former campaign finance director if she had ever cheated on her boyfriend, and unwanted touching and kissing. Kihuen has been adamant about denying the alleged sexual misconduct. In multiple statements he has said he will not resignbut also not run for reelection in 2018 because, as he said, the allegations and investigation would divert attention away from campaign issues.
