Kihuen Reconsidering Decision To Retire: Report
Congressional representative reportedly considering running for reelection after saying in December he would not run again.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Rep. Ruben Kihuen of Nevada's 4th Congressional District is reconsidering his decision to retire, The Nevada Independent reported Wednesday. Kihuen announced in December he would not seek re-election after allegations of sexual misconduct were brought against him.
The House Ethics Committee announced an investigation into the allegations against Kihuen on Dec. 15. That investigation is still ongoing.
A former campaign finance manager alleged that Kihuen made several unwanted sexual advances during his 2016 campaign for the seat he currently holds, according to a Buzzfeed report published last December. Later, the Independent published allegations from a Carson City lobbyist, alleging Kihuen made unwanted sexual advances when he was a Nevada state senator.

The race for the 4th Congressional District appeared to be a showdown between the two men who held the seat before Kihuen. Steven Horsford, a Democrat who represented CD4 from 2013-15, has filed to run for the seat; as has Cresent Hardy, a Republican who held the seat from 2015-17.
