Las Vegas Crash Involving Semi On Interstate 15 Leaves 2 Dead: Reports
A speeding car collided with a tractor-trailer early Tuesday on Interstate 15, leaving two dead, according to reports.
LAS VEGAS, NV — Two people died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas, according to reports.
The crash happened around 12:05 a.m. near Silverado Ranch Boulevard, according to reports. The southbound lanes were closed for more than five hours and traffic was diverted, KLAS reported.
A Honda was recklessly speeding on the interstate when it smashed into the back of the tractor-trailer, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers said. A passenger who was in the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car, KSNV reported. He died at the scene.

The driver of the Honda died at a hospital. Troopers believe he was impaired at the time of the crash.
