Las Vegas Lighting Store 'Completely Destroyed' In Overnight Fire

A large fire ignited around 2 a.m. Tuesday at Statewide Lighting Center. The building was "completely destroyed," officials said.

LAS VEGAS, NV — A large fire early Tuesday destroyed a lighting store in Las Vegas that had previously caught fire earlier this year, officials said.

The blaze broke out at Statewide Lighting Center on East Sahara Avenue around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Firefighters attacked heavy flames inside the business.

Around 3:45 a.m., the Las Vegas Fire Department said the blaze was mostly extinguished, though hotspots remained. No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known. The building was "completely destroyed," the department said. Photos and videoposted on Twitter showed heavy damage to the structure.

Officials said the building also caught fire Jan. 18.
